I Wish I Could
There are a lot of things,
I wish I could be.
Like a diver,
Down under the sea.
Translation : बहुत सी बातें हैं, काश मैं बन सकता। एक गोताखोर की तरह जो समुद्र की गहराइयों में जाता है |
Or an astronaut roving,
Way up high.
Or a pilot,
Flying planes in the sky.
Translation : या एक अंतरिक्ष यात्री जो ऊपर की तरफ घूम रहा है । या एक पायलट की तरह जो आसमान में विमान उड़ा रहा है।
Or a cricketer,
Hitting every ball for a six.
Or an engineer,
Who everything can fix.
Translation : या क्रिकेटर की तरह जो हर गेंद पर छक्का मार रहा है। या एक इंजीनियर की तरह जो सब कुछ ठीक कर सकता है।
Or a doctor,
Taking care of the sick.
A chef after whose dishes,
Your fingers you will lick.
Translation : या एक डॉक्टर की तरह जो बीमारों की देखभाल करता है। या एक रसोइया जिसके व्यंजन खाने के बाद, आप अपनी उंगलियां चाटेंगे।
But here comes Mum,
With samosas for tea.
And at times like this,
I’m glad I’m me.
Translation : लेकिन यहाँ माँ आती है, चाय लेकर समोसे के साथ। और ऐसे मौकों पर, मुझे खुशी है कि मैं मैं हूँ।
