Two little clouds on a summer’s day,
Went flying through the sky.
They went so fast they bumped their heads,
And both began to cry.

Translation : गर्मी के दिन में दो छोटे बादल, आसमान से उड़ रहे थे। वे इतनी तेजी से गए कि उन्होंने टकराकर अपना सिर फोड़ लिया, और दोनों रोने लगे।

Old father Sun looked down and said, .
“Oh! never mind, my dears,
I’ll send my little fairy folk,
To dry your falling tears.”

Translation : बूढ़े पिता सूर्य ने नीचे देखा और कहा, “ओह! कोई बात नहीं, मेरे प्यारे, मैं आपके गिरते आँसुओं को सुखाने के लिए अपनी छोटी परियों को भेजूंगा” |

One fairy came in violet,
And one wore indigo,
In blue, green, yellow, orange, red,
They made a pretty row.

Translation : एक परी बैंगनी रंग में आई, और एक ने नीला पहना था, नीले, हरे, पीले, नारंगी, लाल रंग में, उन्होंने एक सुंदर पंक्ति बनाई।

They wiped the clouds-tears all away,
And then out from the sky,
Upon a line the sunbeams made,
They hung their gowns to dry.

Translation : उन्होंने सारे बादल के आँसू पोंछे, और फिर आसमान से एक रेखा पर बनी धूप की किरणों पर उन्होंने अपने कपड़े सुखाने के लिए लटकाए।
